Efficacy and Mechanism of Action:
Tripeptide-3 (sequence: beta-Ala-Pro-Dab-NHBn-2-Acetate), also known as dipeptide diaminobutyryl benzylamine diacetate or SYN®-AKE, mimics the action of wagering-1, a peptide found in venom. V snake Tropidolaemus wagleri. Tripeptide-3 acts on the postsynaptic membrane and is a reversible antagonist of the acetylcholine receptor.
